The Equus Survival Trust will host an endangered breeds weekend at the world famous Kentucky Horse Park (KHP) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - September 5-7, 2008

The Festivale of Endangered Equines will focus on raising awareness within the general public and encourage networking among breeders and their associations to help in the conservation of their respective breeds.

The exhibition theme, "Celebrate the Differences" is designed to encourage visitors to explore and cherish the differences between these endangered historical breeds.

PONIES:
- Dartmoor, Exmoor, Dales, Fell, Highland, Gotland-Russ,
Newfoundland, Kerry Bog

LIGHT HORSE:
- Akhal-Teke, Canadian Horse, Caspian, Cleveland Bay, Irish Draught,
Lippitt (Morgan strain), Mountain Pleasure Horse

Activities include a breed pavilion, demonstrations and parades, youth activities, clinics, lectures, vendor booths and the newly created Stewardship Awards of North America (SANA) - a very unusual conservation competition with a full array of classes that promise to be educational as well as competitive.

Festivale activities for Spectators are included with Park admission.
