The Equus Survival Trust hosted an endangered breeds weekend at the world famous Kentucky Horse Park (KHP) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - September 5-7, 2008

The Festivale of Endangered Equines focused on raising awareness within the general public and encouraged networking among breeders and their associations to help in the conservation of their respective breeds.

The exhibition theme, "Celebrate the Differences" was designed to encourage visitors to explore and cherish the differences between these endangered historical breeds

PONIES:
Dartmoor, Exmoor, Dales, Fell, Highland, Gotland-Russ,
Newfoundland, Kerry Bog

LIGHT HORSE:
Akhal-Teke, Canadian Horse, Caspian, Cleveland Bay, Irish Draught,
Lippitt (Morgan strain), Mountain Pleasure Horse

Activities included a breed pavilion, demonstrations and parades, youth activities, clinics, lectures, vendor booths and the newly created Stewardship Awards of North America (SANA) - a very unusual conservation competition with a full array of classes that was educational as well as competitive.
